JANAT PARIS & MAISON KAYSER team up to break the World’s Largest Heart-Shaped Origami record at Expo 2025 Osaka under the patronage of Mrs. Akie Abe
Osaka, Japan — July 14, 2025

On France’s National Day, a powerful symbol of unity and women’s leadership unfolded at the France Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka. Under the direction of the Femmes du Monde Foundation, JANAT PARIS and MAISON KAYSER handcrafted the world’s Largest Heart-Shaped Origami, setting a new Guinness World Record™ at 4.28m x 4.96m.
This record-breaking origami was created live by a team of women leaders—Yumi Tanabe, Kyoko Spector, and Machiko Ikeoka—and held under the patronage of Mrs. Akie Abe, former First Lady of Japan.
In tribute to the France Pavilion’s theme, “Hymn à l’Amour,” the massive origami heart was delicately perfumed with the enchanting fragrance of Janat Paris’s signature Pomme d’Amour tea—a blend inspired by the sweet notes of love and nostalgia. The heart was folded from specially scented red paper, turning the installation into an immersive sensory experience.

This collaboration between two celebrated French houses—Janat Paris and Maison Kayser—is more than a visual feat; it’s a celebration of French craftsmanship, kindness, and gastronomy. Visitors to the Pavilion can also discover exclusive tea creations at the French bakery, including the limited-edition Pomme d’Amour blend served with Maison Kayser's signature pastries.
The romantic and fragrant Pomme d’Amour tea, known for its apple-caramel notes and symbolic of sweet love, is also available for tea lovers across Japan at Kaldi Coffee Farm stores.

“This is more than a world record—it’s about sharing back to the communities,” said Machiko Ikeoka, representing Femmes du Monde in Japan.
Let the scent of Pomme d’Amour be a reminder that kindness, collaboration, and love can shape something truly historic.
